Description

I have a garden in Ballard that I can not care for. It is approximately 10' x 20'. It needs some love. Right now it is growing thick with raspberries and volunteer potatoes and onion and some flowers. I am asking that the planter pay a small fee of $20 towards the water bill each month. Sorry I don't have any photos available at this time.

Description

This area consists of a large portion of my back yard. I have let the area grow naturally in the past but recently decided that I wanted to grow veggies. I have already tilled the areas that are available for planting. I would love to pitch in and be a part of the growing/planting process all I need is a little help getting started!

Italian Plum Tree and Patch

Please login or register to contact ktdavis.

Description

We have an Italian Plum Tree which I tried to prune myself last year, resulting in essentially no plums this year. In past years, we had what I think were fruit flies in most of the mature plums, likely due to dropped plums. I'd love help caring for our plum tree and figuring out how to prevent fruit flies without using harsh pesticides.

Below the plum tree is also a raised bed installed by a prior owner. I'd love to see it used for veggies, herbs, fruit or whatever you think would work. Due to the tree, it is in partial shade.

Description

Would love to grow a garden in my backyard. The 8000 sq ft yard is gently sloping to the west side of the home, it currently has 3 apple trees, 1 cherry tree, grapes, small plum tree, some raspberries, blue berries and starting an herb garden. I have limited knowledge and a much neglected yard that we just purchased, Would love someone to plan and maintain a garden with mainly edibles. 50/50 split. Thank you!

Our urban Farm

Description

We have a full sun front yard that is currently grass, you could build raised beds or till in the grass and plant in the ground. We have high clay soil that will need added compost but seems to do well for gardening in. We would like to add rain barrels to reduce the water bill. Your space will be separate from ours - this space is roughly 20'x15' and there is an additional space that is partial shade if more space was wanted.

There is also a possibility of a joint chicken/egg co-op if you would like to add a chicken or two to our existing flock and help buy food.

Good starter patch

Description

We've got a designated patch at the side of our house but aren't sure what to plant and don't really have the time to maintain a garden. It's a bit overgrown currently, but not unmanageable.

We like to try and do things as naturally as possible. For example, we built a bat sanctuary to help with the mosquitoes population. There's a stream behind our house so we want to make sure that there aren't pesticides that would leach into the ground water.

One challenge is that we have rabbits in the yard and natural deterrents would be needed.
