We have a lovely large backyard with mature trees, a raised flower bed, a cherry tree and an apple tree. The people before us were retired and loved roses. I've gotten rid of the roses, but am feeling flustered with converting areas (the flower bed namely) to food gardens. I've used pots to grow tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and herbs for the last couple summers. As well, I've amended some bad soil spots to grow long beans...that worked out well. Now I would love to offer up my space to someone who can help me move to the next level of gardening.

I started very young as a weed puller and have had a garden almost everywhere I've lived since then. I live in a row home and have containers full of herbs and flowers but am looking for a little more space (and sun!) where I can plant some veggies. I've planted the usual suspects in the past - different varieties of lettuce, tomatoes & peppers - but I'd like to try my hand at some new crops!

We have a full sun front yard that is currently grass, you could build raised beds or till in the grass and plant in the ground. We have high clay soil that will need added compost but seems to do well for gardening in. We would like to add rain barrels to reduce the water bill. Your space will be separate from ours - this space is roughly 20'x15' and there is an additional space that is partial shade if more space was wanted.

There is also a possibility of a joint chicken/egg co-op if you would like to add a chicken or two to our existing flock and help buy food.

I've got a suburban lot in Thornton, about a 1/3 acre, with a sprinkler system installed. The backyard is fenced at the perimeter and a section fence is also installed. We have medium sized front & back yards with at least 7 planted areas (sunny & shaded) on all sides of our house. We lack the time & expertise to maintain everything, so we need help. There is also a separate area behind the house next to a brook that can be exclusively yours! We are open to landscaping ideas & diverse plant combinations. I am a student studying Food Science with an emphasis in Enology(wine!) at University of Missouri(Mizzou). When I lived with my parents in St Louis I had a vegetable and herb garden but now that I live in an apartment in Columbia I have nowhere to plant one! Before I moved to a Seniors Apartment Complex, I took care of my
brother's front and backyard by planting flowers and vegetables.
I had planted cherry and regular tomatoe plants. I even planted
some raspberry plants.
Since I don't own the land or have much room to plant, I would like share a patch and do some gardening.
